What is a webcam beauty filter?

What is a virtual camera?

A virtual camera is software that appears in your computer's camera list like a real webcam. It takes the picture from your physical camera, changes it, and passes the result to any app that lets you choose a camera. ClaraCam is a virtual camera.

Is there a beauty filter that works in Zoom, Teams and Google Meet at once?

Yes. Built-in filters apply only inside their own app. A virtual camera such as ClaraCam applies the same look everywhere, because each app receives video that is already retouched.

Do I need a better webcam to look better on calls?

Not necessarily. Most of what reads as tired on a laptop camera is uneven light and flat color, which software can correct. ClaraCam works with built-in laptop cameras and external webcams.
